Florida Sheriff Reopening Case of Carole Baskin's Missing Husband After 'Tiger King' Success

The Florida sheriff who is in charge of the Don Lewis case is looking for new leads after the success of the Netflix series Tiger King.

Don was married to wildlife sanctuary Big Cat Rescue’s owner Carole Baskin and he mysteriously disappeared in 1997. The Netflix series explores claims that Carole killed her husband and fed him to a tiger, which she adamantly denies.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister tweeted on Monday morning (March 30) and wrote, “Since @netflix and #Covid19 #Quarantine has made #TigerKing all the rage, I figured it was a good time to ask for new leads.”

Don was last seen on August 18, 1997. The case is still unsolved after all of these years.

Fans have been going nuts after discovering that one of the stars of Tiger King was actually on stage with Britney Spears during the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards!
