The Weeknd Scores Biggest Sales Week of 2020 with 'After Hours' #1 Billboard Debut!

The Weeknd is celebrating a big week!

The 30-year-old Grammy-winning hit-maker’s brand new album After Hours officially rocks the top of the Billboard 200 album chart as he scores his fourth #1 album.

The set jumps in with the year’s biggest week for any album: 444,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending March 26, according to Billboard.

After Hours‘ streaming launch was so big, the album would have been No. 1 on the Billboard 200 even if it hadn’t sold a single copy.

On top of the album news, The Weeknd‘s single off of After Hours, “Blinding Lights,” lifts from #2 to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, becoming the pop/R&B singer-songwriter-producer’s fifth leader on the list.
