John Krasinski Surprised Healthcare Workers By Doing This

John Krasinski just brought a big smile to all our faces with what he did on his Some Good News show over the weekend.

In the episode, which aired on Sunday (April 12), the 40-year-old actor and filmmaker opened up about something that he was really missing and that was baseball.

“For me, and I’m sure a lot of you, the calendar just doesn’t really feel the same until that opening day pitch is thrown out,” John shared. “Well, last week was supposed to be opening day for almost every major league team and that loss was felt by everyone. And even in the midst of 24-hour shifts and sleepless nights, our healthcare heroes were missing baseball too.”

During his chat with a group of workers at BIDMC, John then surprised them with an appearance from Red Sox hitter David “Big Papi” Ortiz.

David then revealed he’d be donating lifetime Red Sox tickets to the entire staff!

But the surprises didn’t stop there, after the ticket reveal, John had that group of healthcare professionals transported in “the most sanitized duck boat in America” to Fenway Park.

There, they were greeted with a thank you video from the city of Boston and then given the opportunity to throw out the first pitch of the 2020 MLB season.

For his last surprise, John revealed that AT&T would be providing three months of free wireless service for frontline nurses and physicians across the country amid the coronavirus pandemic.

That’s a LOT of good news! Check out the episode below:
