Jada Pinkett Smith Says She's Learned in Quarantine That She Doesn't Know Husband Will Smith 'At All'

Jada Pinkett Smith is getting incredibly candid about her relationship with husband Will Smith.

The 48-year-old Red Table Talk star opened up in the most recent episode of her family show alongside her own marriage counselor Michaela Boehm, published Wednesday (April 29).

During the episode, Jada talked about how quarantine is affecting her own relationship.

“I have to be honest. One of things I realized is that I don’t know Will at all. Let me tell you, I feel like there’s a layer that you get to, life gets busy and you create these stories in your head…and that is your idea of your partner – but that’s not who your partner is,” she said.

“Going through the process of having to dissolve all those stories and all the ideas of Will I built around those stories…the thing that Will and I are learning to do is be friends. You get into all these ideas of what intimate relationships are supposed to look like, what marriage is supposed to be….Will and I are in the process of him taking the time to learn to love himself, me taking the time to learn to love myself, and us us building a friendship along the way. That’s been something, I been married to someone for 20-odd years and realize I don’t know you and you don’t me, and also realizing there’s an aspect of yourself you don’t know either.”
