Kate Middleton Wanted to Name Prince George Something Completely Different

A quote from a Vanity Fair article has resurfaced about what Duchess Kate Middleton really wanted to name her firstborn son, Prince George, who is now 6 years old.

The Duchess and her husband Prince William chose the name Prince George Alexander Louis for their son…but Duchess Kate apparently had her heart set on the name “Alexander,” which is now his middle name.

A quote from the Vanity Fair article claimed that, “Courtiers insisted the pair had not found out the sex of their unborn baby, and friends close to the couple claim William wanted a surprise.”

The article added, “Although Kate apparently suspected it was a boy and had set her heart on the name Alexander, they had not yet decided what to call their firstborn.”

The article also added that the Duchess called the baby “our little grape” while he was in her womb.
