Matt Lauer Seen With 'Hatred' Tattoo After Calling Ronan Farrow's Reporting Into Question

Matt Lauer has a new tattoo.

The 62-year-old former Today show co-host was seen wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses and a white button-down shirt while driving in Sag Harbor near New York City, and was seen sporting new ink on his arm, via E! News.

The new tattoo reads: “Hatred corrodes the container it’s carried in.”

Although the quote’s origin isn’t certain, it was a line repeated by former Senator Alan Simpson during his eulogy for late President George H.W. Bush: “You would have wanted [Bush] on your side. He never hated anyone. He knew what his mother and my mother always knew: Hatred corrodes the container it’s carried in,” he had said at the time.

The new ink comes after Matt gained media attention for penning an article calling into question Ronan Farrow‘s reporting in his book Catch and Kill, which includes a rape allegation against the former Today anchor.
