'Seinfeld' Actor Richard Herd Dies at 87

Richard Herd has sadly died at the age of 87.

Variety reports that the veteran actor, who is best known for portraying Mr. Wilhelm on Seinfeld, passed away in Los Angeles over the weekend from cancer.

Mr. Wilhelm was the New York Yankees exec who supervised George Costanza (Jason Alexander) after he landed a job as an assistant to the traveling secretary.

Richard‘s other credits include Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

He also portrayed Supreme Commander John in the NBC miniseries V, the Klingon L’Kor on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Admiral Owen Paris on Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Renegades.

Richard is the second Seinfeld star to pass away this month, following the passing of Jerry Stiller.
