Colin Kaepernick Is Standing With Protestors in Minneapolis Following George Floyd's Death

Colin Kaepernick is showing his support for the Black Lives Matter protesters in Minneapolis following the tragic death of George Floyd in the Minnesota city that sparked outrage online this week.

The former San Francisco 49ers football player took to social media while watching what was happening.

“When civility leads to death, revolting is the only logical reaction,” he wrote. “The cries for peace will rain down, and when they do, they will land on deaf ears, because your violence has brought this resistance. We have the right to fight back! Rest in Power George Floyd.”

Later in another tweet, Colin revealed that the formation of a legal defense initiative for protesters in Minneapolis that was funded by the Know Your Rights Camp, an organization he founded.

“In fighting for liberation there’s always retaliation,” Colin shared. “We must protect our Freedom Fighters. We started a legal defense initiative to give legal representation to Freedom Fighters in Minneapolis paid for by @yourrightscamp.”

Colin made headlines in 2016 after refusing to stand during the national anthem in protest against police brutality and racial injustice in the United States. It sparked outrage among football fans in the country and also started the #TakeAKnee movement.
