Matt LeBlanc's 'Friends' Spinoff 'Joey' Won't Be Added to HBO Max Anytime Soon

Shortly after Friends signed off the air in 2004, the next fall, Matt Le Blanc launched the first spinoff, called Joey.

The show centered on Joey Tribbiani as he followed his acting dreams from New York to Los Angeles, in hopes of making it even bigger and advancing his career.

The series also starred Drea de Matteo as one of his seven sisters, Gina, and Paulo Costanzo was his nephew, Michael.

While Friends is now streaming on HBO Max, Joey is not, and it doesn’t look like it will be added anytime soon.

“We’re always assessing available shows to see what will be a good fit and well received by subscribers,” an HBO Max spokesperson shared with Variety on if Joey would be added there soon.

Joey ran from 2004 to 2006, with just two seasons. There are still eight episodes that never aired on NBC.
