Mayor Bill de Blasio's Daughter Chiara Arrested at Protest in NYC

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio‘s daughter was arrested during the Black Lives Matter protest on Saturday night (May 30).

Chiara de Blasio
was taken into custody around 10:30pm after police declared an unlawful assembly at 12th Street and Broadway in Manhattan, law enforcement sources shared with The Post.

Chiara, 25, had allegedly been blocking traffic on Broadway and was arrested after refusing to move.

“That was a real hotspot, police cars were getting burned there, people were throwing and yelling, fighting with cops. There were thousands of people in that area at that time,” the source said.

Chiara gave a residence on East End Avenue as her address – otherwise known as Gracie Mansion, the mayor’s home. She did not tell the police she was Mayor de Blasio‘s daughter.

Chiara was given a desk appearance ticket and then released.

Mayor de Blasio has not yet addressed Chiara‘s arrest.
