Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes Third Athlete Ever to Earn $1 Billion

Cristiano Ronaldo has reached a big milestone in his career – he has earned over $1 billion throughout his career!

The 35-year-old soccer star, who currently plays for Juventus F.C., made about $105 million between June 2019 and June 2020, which pushed him past the $1 billion mark in total career earnings. This number is before taxes and fees are taken out.

The only other athletes to ever reach this mark before retiring are golfer Tiger Woods and boxer Floyd Mayweather.

$650 million of Ronaldo‘s earnings came from his 17-year career as a soccer star so far and the rest of his earnings come from endorsement deals with brands like Nike and Tag Heuer, according to Forbes.

The list of the world’s highest paid celebrities for the past year was just released and he ranked in fourth place.
