BTS & Big Hit Entertainment Donate $1 Million to Black Lives Matter

The boys of BTS are supplying support.

The South Korean boy band showed their support for the Black Lives Matter movement, alongside their agency Big Hit Entertainment, with a $1 million donation to the movement, Variety confirmed on Saturday (June 6).

The donation was sent earlier in the week, as confirmed by organizers on Friday (June 4). The group and the agency are “not expected to comment on the donation..”

“Black people all over the world are in pain at this moment from the trauma of centuries of oppression. We are moved by the generosity of BTS and allies all over the world who stand in solidarity in the fight for Black lives.” said Black Lives Matter manager director Kailee Scales.

The group did issue a statement about the movement on Twitter earlier in the week as well.
