Model Munroe Bergdorf Rejoins L'Oreal After Constructive Conversation With New President Delphine Viguier

Munroe Bergdorf is back with L’Oreal after calling the brand out about their Black Lives Matter stance.

The model revealed on social that she was back with the brand after having a lengthy and constructive conversation with president Delphine Viguier.

“Thank you everyone for having my back with this matter over the past three years, it hasn’t been easy,” Munroe shared in her post on Instagram. “Looking forward to new beginnings and a new positive relationship with the L’Oreal team.”

Delphine also released a statement on the matter, writing, “I regret the lack of dialogue and support the company showed Munroe around the time of the termination. We should have also done more to create a conversation for change as we are now doing…We support Munroe’s fight against systemic racism and as a company we are committed to work to dismantle such systems.”

Munroe has joined the brand on their newly-formed diversity and inclusion advisory board, and also revealed the brand has donated €25,000 to Mermaids and €25,000 to UK Black Pride, two organizations that support people of all genders, sexualities and identities.

Earlier over the weekend, Munroe called the company out after their released a statement on BLM and pointed out that they fired her for speaking out about white supremacy a few years ago.
