Nick Cordero Had a 'Good Weekend' in the ICU, His Wife Says

Nick Cordero‘s wife Amanda Kloots is sharing an update on his recovery from complications he suffered while battling coronavirus.
The 41-year-old actor, best known for his work in Broadway musicals like Waitress and Bullets Over Broadway, has been in the ICU since early April. His leg had to be amputated due to blood clots and he also has been fighting lung infections.
Nick is out of his coma and Amanda says he had a “good weekend.”
“So I think this weekend was a good weekend, it was uneventful,” Amanda said on her Instagram Stories. “Which, uneventful in the ICU is a good weekend. I think he had a weekend of rest, a weekend of growing, strength in his body and recovering a little bit. … Not too many changes were made, which is also a good sign, but one really good sign is his white blood count number is way down. It has been as high as 65,000 — we are now at 30,000. A frame of reference, a normal healthy person is around 15-20,000, even lower sometimes. So 30,000 is a great sign that things are moving in the right direction.”
A few days ago, Amanda opened up about the new treatment that Nick is being given right now.
