'Jeopardy!' Runs Out of New Episodes Amid Pandemic

Jeopardy! is out of episodes.

The long-running game show will air its final new episode on Friday (June 12), following a shutdown on production amid the global health crisis.

The final episodes come just after the Teachers Tournament semifinals and finals episodes, which wrapped at the beginning of June.

Host Alex Trebek, who has been candid about his fight with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, is still eager to get back to work.

“Alex is looking forward to resuming production as soon as we are able to do so. He’s told us he wants to be one of the first shows back in production,” a spokesperson said in a statement.

On June 15, Jeopardy! will air big champions and big wins, leading to the encore of the 2019 Tournament of Champions beginning on July 6.
