SNL Comedian Jay Pharaoh Says Police Kneeled On His Neck In Recent Incident & He Has Video
Jay Pharoah is opening up about his own encounter with police which led to the police putting their own knees on his neck.
The SNL comedian spoke about the event during an interview on CBS’ The Talk.
“I was actually on Ventura, I was exercising, as I’m walking across the street…I see an officer to the left of me. I’m not thinking anything of it because I’m a law abiding citizen,” he says. “I see him coming with guns blazing, I see him say, ‘Get on the ground, put your hands up like you’re an airplane.’ As he’s looking at me I’m thinking that he’s making a mistake.”
Jay went on, explaining that the police told him that he “fit the description of a Black man” they were in pursuit of, who was also wearing a gray t-shirt and sweatpants.
In security footage, you can see one of the officers pins him to the ground, and put a knee on his neck, handcuffing him.
“We as a country can’t breathe anymore. We are tired, we are sick, and we are tired of it. I can’t breathe,” Jay added.
