'The Bold & The Beautiful' to Become First U.S. Series to Resume Shooting Amid Pandemic

The Bold and the Beautiful is resuming production this week and it will become the first U.S. scripted series to resume filming on American soil.

The CBS soap opera series is already in pre-production and the show will resume filming on Wednesday (June 17) at Television City in Los Angeles.

The production will follow COVID-19 safety protocols, which were set up by Los Angeles County, the City of Los Angeles, and Television City.

The full cast was tested for coronavirus on Monday (June 15), according to Deadline. They will be tested regularly and be required to wear masks on set when they are not filming a scene. The show is also being reworked to make sure a smaller amount of cast is on set at all times.

New episodes will likely air in early-to-mid July.
