Twitter Has Lots of Thoughts About Kristen Stewart Playing Princess Diana In a New Movie
It was announced earlier today that Kristen Stewart would be portraying Princess Diana in a brand new movie called Spencer.
Directed by Pablo Larraín, the film “covers a critical weekend in the early ‘90s, when Diana decided her marriage to Prince Charles wasn’t working, and that she needed to veer from a path that put her in line to one day be queen.”
After the news broke, social media had a lot of opinions about the casting.
“Kristen Stewart playing Princess Diana is a joke. She hasn’t got any of Diana’s positivity, upbeat energy, angelic smile, her radiances… Please!” one Twitter user claimed on the social platform.
However, for every bad tweet, there is a good one about how Kristen is going to be amazing in the role.
“#KristenStewart with a new movie and, as usual, all the haters comment. They’ll always comment even if the role is Kristen Stewart as Kristen Stewart,” another said. “But, guess what? she is a queen, a talented, beautiful, hard working queen. So, stay healthy and f**U”
