Fans Call Out Vanilla Ice For Putting on Concert As Coronavirus Cases Climb
Vanilla Ice is under fire for his plans to throw a concert event later this week.
Announced last week, the 52-year-old iconic 90s musician shared the news about the planned concert in time for the July 4th holiday weekend.
According to the Austin Chronicle, the event is being hosted due to a big loophole in COVID-19 rules in the state. It claims that the venue is technically a restaurant, not a bar. Texas closed down bars earlier this week to fight pandemic numbers from rising further.
“I can’t wait to get back to this,” the “Ice Ice Baby” singer captioned his post on Instagram. “The 90s were the best. We didn’t have coronavirus, or cell phones, or computers. We had 5.0′s, blockbuster, Beavis and Butthead, Wayne’s World, Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan … Mortal Kombat is still better than Fortnight … the last of the great decades.”
Vanilla Ice is following in the footsteps of country singer Chase Rice, who was called out for hosting a concert last week with no social distancing rules in place.

Vanilla Ice is trending because he is throwing a concert in Texas for the 4th of July.
If you go to this concert and catch COVID, don't ask anyone to stop, collaborate, and listen to your dumbass.

If you get COVID because you went to the Vanilla Ice concert that somehow is the exception to closure rules, frankly, you deserve that.

This Vanilla Ice concert in Texas is a terrible idea. But I have to admit I’m curious to see how much bigger a crowd he draws than trump.

If you die because you went to a Vanilla Ice concert, you should be required by law to put that on your headstone.https://t.co/F7NYcdQzbE
