'The Crown' Season Five Won't Debut Until 2022

The Crown‘s fourth season is expected to premiere in 2020 on Netflix, but we now have word that the fifth season of the hit show won’t debut until 2022.

Deadline reports that season five will not begin filming until June of 2021, resulting in a delay in episodes until 2022.

The fourth season stars Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as The Duke of Edinburgh, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, and more. The fifth season will include a cast changeover which includes Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth.

We recently found out that this controversial royal story line will NOT be a part of the show.

There has been some great news recently for The Crown fans!
