Reni Santoni has sadly died, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor, who famously starred opposite Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry and as Poppie in Seinfeld, passed away on Saturday, August 1, in Los Angeles, following a long health battle that included cancer.

Reni got his big break in film when he was cast in Enter Laughing, which was based on Carl Reiner‘s book of the same name. Carl passed away earlier this year as well.

Reni leaves behind one son, Nick.
