Freeform Axes Mermaid Series 'Siren' After Three Seasons

Freeform has decided to cancel it’s thrilling mermaid series, Siren.

The show, which starred Eline Powell and Alex Roe, will end with three seasons, Deadline reports.

The shocking news was revealed just after the season three finale debuted in May.

If you’re unfamiliar, Siren centered on Bristol Cove—a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean.

The show also starred Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ian Verdun, and Rena Owen.

This other popular television series was also cancelled earlier in the summer, but only one season aired.
