Jo Jorgensen, Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate, Bitten By a Bat, Needs Rabies Shot

The Libertarian Party’s candidate for President, Jo Jorgensen, was scheduled to appear at a campaign rally on Saturday morning (August 8) in Mississippi, but had to skip the event because of a bat bite.

“I will not be able to attend the campaign rally tomorrow morning. I will be getting a rabies vaccine as a precaution after having been bitten by a bat near the start of this campaign tour!” Jo posted on her Twitter account, revealing to her followers what happened to her.

If you don’t know, bats can be carriers of rabies and rabies is deadly to humans who do not get vaccinated when at risk.

Despite missing the first rally, Jo is still planning on attending the other events in Mississippi, and will also be attending rallies in Louisiana on Sunday.

Jo is a psychologist and university lecturer. Third party candidates (meaning every candidate apart from the Democrat, Joe Biden, and Republican, Donald Trump) are currently polling at only 3%.
