'In The Heights' Actress Melissa Barrera Joins 'Scream 5'

Melissa Barrera will be starring in the next installment of the Scream franchise, Deadline reports.

The 30-year-old actress, who also stars in the upcoming In The Heights movie, will join David Arquette and Courteney Cox in the movie in a “key role”.

Filming is set to kick off this fall in Wilmington, North Carolina and is expected to wrap up by the end of the year.

Scream 5 is being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.
