The NBA Playoff Games Are Postponed Again

The NBA playoffs are continuing to be postponed amid an ongoing boycott from basketball players due to the police shooting of Jacob Blake, which has sparked outcry across the nation.

One day before (August 26), it was revealed the Milwaukee Bucks would not play in protest of police brutality, and more teams joined in solidarity with the decision to boycott.

“NBA playoff games for today will not be played as scheduled. We are hopeful to resume games either Friday or Saturday,” the association announced with further clarification about their plans.

“There is a video conference call meeting scheduled later this afternoon between a group of NBA players and team governors representing the 13 teams in Orlando, along with representatives from the National Basketball Players Association and the league office and NBA Labor Relations Committee Chairman Michael Jordan, to discuss next steps.”

Here is more about what happened to kick off the postponement.
