'Friends' Fans Loved Everything About the All-Black Cast Reading on 'Zoom Where It Happens'

Twitter was absolutely in love with everything about the Zoom Where It Happens event tonight, which saw an all-Black cast do a live reading of Friends‘ “The One Where It Never Happened” episode.

Hosted by Gabrielle Union, the event starred Sterling K. Brown as Ross, Ryan Michelle Bathe as Rachel, Uzo Aduba as Phoebe, Aisha Hinds as Monica, Kendrick Sampson as Joey, and Jeremy Pope as Chandler.

The event also had a surprise appearance by Cynthia Erivo, who belted out the iconic theme song, “I’ll Be There For You”.

During and after watching the special event, which spotlighted When We All Vote, a non-partisan voter registration organization, fans were tweeting about it on social media – even Kerry Washington!

“#ZoomWhereItHappens omg I love seeing real BLACK LOVE!!!!! Yes to @SterlingKBrown and his better half Ms Ryan @michellechel,” she wrote while watching.

Jeremy, who fans were thirsting over, tweeted after the live reading, “Yoo! that was too much fun. thank you to everyone who tuned into FRIENDS #ZoomWhereItHappens please be sure you are registered to vote 🙌🏾http://whenweallvote.org.”
