Demi Lovato Source Refutes Max Ehrich's Claim That He Learned of Breakup 'Through a Tabloid'

A source close to Demi Lovato is reacting to her ex-fiance Max Ehrich‘s claim that he learned about their breakup “through a tabloid.”

After news broke that the couple had split just two months after getting engaged, Max, 29, took to his Instagram Stories to share his side of the story.

“Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid,” Max said. “While your [sic] in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people.”

The source says this isn’t true and that Demi broke up with Max before the news went public.

“Demi made Max aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press,” a source told People.

Sources have spoken out about what went wrong in the relationship and it seems that Demi realized that she didn’t trust Max and his intentions.
