Britney Spears Files to Have Dad Jamie Removed From Conservatorship

Britney Spears is asking a judge to remove her father Jamie Spears as her co-conservator.

The 38-year-old singer’s lawyer filed new paperwork in early November asking the court to strip her father of his power in her conservatorship, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.

Britney‘s lawyer is asking for Bessemer Trust Company, who currently is a co-conservator with Jamie, to become the sole conservator of her finances.

The court documents state that Britney was informed her longtime business management company, Tristar Sports and Entertainment Group, had resigned from representing her on October 28.

She says that Jamie then hired another manager, Michael Kane of Miller Kaplan, and accused her fad of hiring Kane without informing her.

Britney believes this is all part of Jamie‘s attempt to “retain full functional control of her assets, books and records.”

Britney‘s new filing comes after a victory in court after a judge granted her petition to request her legal team to be expanded.

Britney‘s request to remove Jamie has her conservator will be discussed as part of a hearing scheduled for Tuesday, November 10th.

Britney has been under the conservatorship for 12 years, beginning back in 2008.

Just recently, Britney Spears provided an update on how she is doing these days.
