'The Flash' Halts Production After Positive Coronavirus Test

The Flash< is pressing pause.

The CW series has halted production after a team member working on the series tested positive for COVID-19, Deadline reported Sunday (November 29).

“The asymptomatic diagnosis was confirmed through the rigorous testing protocols implemented by The Flash studio Warner Bros. TV for all of its production employees. Out of an abundance of caution, production on The Flash has been temporarily suspended and contact tracing has been initiated,” the outlet reported.

The studio is now evaluating adjustments to the production schedule to resume filming without the affected employee and close contacts who are now self-isolating, according to the report.

The Flash, which is filming in Vancouver, had a delayed start in production among other series due to a backlog at a local lab processing the COVID-19 tests.

The CW recently revealed their latest renewals and cancellations.
