Mariah Carey Finally Goes No. 1 in the UK With 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'!

Mariah Carey is celebrating!

The superstar’s Christmas classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” finally reached the top spot in the UK as of Friday (December 11), marking her third No. 1 in the territory overall.

“Jumping up and down in front of the Christmas tree with the kids and the dogs. Blasting ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, and sending virtual hugs to everyone across the pond who helped make it happen! Love you so much!!!” she said on Twitter.

The song finally achieved the feat 26 years after its release, breaking a new Official Chart record: no other song has spent more weeks in the Official Chart Top 40 before eventually reaching Number 1 in UK chart history!

“Happy Christmas UK!! We finally made it!!! We are keeping the Christmas spirit alive together despite how dismal the year’s been. Love you always! ♥️ Joy to the world 🌎😇🎄!!!!” she told the chart company. It’s her third No. 1 there, following “Without You” and “Against All Odds” with Westlife.
