Cher Reveals How Two Fans Came To Her Rescue When A Man Tried To Kill Her

Cher is opening up about a scary situation that happened to her in the 1980s.

Speaking with The Guardian‘s G2 magazine, the 74-year-old iconic performer revealed that while she was starring in Come Back To the Five and Dime on Broadway, there was an attempt made on her life when a man tried to kill her.

“I always got dropped off at the stage door when I was doing Come Back To the Five and Dime on Broadway,” Cher recalled to the magazine. “I thought he was going to shake my hand, and he grabbed my arm and put it behind my back.”

She continued, saying that “he started pushing me down the alleyway, and he said: ‘If you make a sound, I’ll kill you.’”

Thankfully, two of Cher‘s fans, and now friends, came to her rescue.

“Two fans, who later became friends, saw something was wrong, and they started screaming and ran towards me, and he ran away,” she adds.

The revelation comes just after Cher participated in a selfless act of helping to free the world’s loneliest elephant, Kaavan, in Thailand.

Earlier this year, Cher was refused when she tried to help save this!
