Hailee Steinfeld Makes First Official Comments About Being Part of the MCU as Kate Bishop for 'Hawkeye'

Hailee Steinfeld has opened up for the first time about stepping into the shoes of Kate Bishop for Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series, Hawkeye.

The 24-year-old actress will star alongside Jeremy Renner in the series, which will make its debut in 2021 on the streaming service.

Hailee has been spotted filming with Jeremy in New York City just recently and donning a purple suit.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Hailee revealed her excitement for the role and show.

“I can’t wait for people to see how we are interpreting this character through the comics and in our own sort of ways,” she shared, adding that Kate is “such a badass, there’s no denying that.”

Hailee adds, “She’s so smart and witty and quick and her physical ability to do so many things is through the roof. It’s really tested me and kept me going through quarantine, I will say. It’s given me a reason to stay with it.”

Earlier in the year, when Hailee was questioned about her involvement in the series, she didn’t say a word.
