Soap Star John Reilly Passes Away at Age 84

John Reilly has sadly passed away this weekend, his daughter revealed on social media.

The actor, who is best known for his iconic roles on soap operas General Hospital, Passions and As The World Turns, was just 84.

“John Henry Matthew Reilly AKA Jack. The brightest light in the world has gone out,” Caitlin Reilly shared on her Instagram. “Imagine the best person in the world. Now imagine that person being your dad. I’m so grateful he was mine.”

She added, “I’m so grateful I got to love him. I’m so grateful I made it in time to hold him and say goodbye. I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do, but I know he’ll be with me. I love you forever Daddy.”

No cause of death for John was reported.

In addition to the soap operas, John was also known television shows How the West Was Won, Quincy M.E. and Dallas.

You might also recognize him as Kelly Taylor’s father on Beverly Hills, 90210.
