The trailer introduces her character, who is playing coy with her daughter, Delilah (Laya DeLeon).
“What’s up with you, mom? Out of nowhere you quit your job last month, you wanna talk about it?” her daughter asks, to which she responds: “It’s complicated.”
Chris Noth also stars as an ex-CIA director.
The Equalizer originally premiered in 1985 and starred Edward Woodward, Keith Szarabajka and William Zabka. The story was later adapted for the big screen in 2014 with Denzel Washington. The CBS version may be different from the original story line, although it followed a man named Robert McCall, who could be related to Queen Latifah’s character.
The show also has a very noteworthy premiere date, which will get it a ton of viewers!
