Shia LaBeouf Checks Into Inpatient Rehab For Treatment; Pauses Working With CAA
Shia LaBeouf and his talent agency, CAA, have parted ways, a new report from Variety claims.
The 34-year-old actor, who has been accused of sexual battery by FKA twigs, will also seek inpatient treatment at a rehab facility.
While CAA has not terminated their contract with Shia, the situation means he has taken a break from acting so he can “solely focus on his recovery and get the help he has admitted he needs.”
In addition, a source close to the situation added that Shia voluntarily checked himself in for treatment that will take place over a five week period. His release will be dependent on his recovery.
“I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me,” he shared in a statement after the accusations were revealed.. “I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”
FKA twigs first came forward with the abuse allegations against Shia, whom she dated for about a year from 2018 to 2019, late last year.
In another interview, the musician detailed the abuse she faced from the actor.
