Travis Scott Donates 50,000 Meals to Houston Residents Affected By Texas Freeze

Travis Scott is helping people who have been impacted by the Texas winter freeze amid the pandemic.

According to People, Travis has worked with his Cactus Jack Foundation and Mayor Sylvester Turner to create a food assistance program for Houston residents affected by crisis.

Earlier this month, Texas was hit with widespread heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures that left millions without heat, water or electricity.

After power was restored, many discovered that their pipes had burst and taps had run dry. The disruption to the water system has caused nearly 8.8 million people to be placed under boil-water orders as of Monday (February 22).

The Grammy-nominated Houston native partnered with the City of Houston and the Houston Health Foundation to offer approximately 50,000 hot meals to provide relief to those severely impacted by the storm.

Travis is also working with local restaurant owners and organizations to focus their efforts on at-risk Houston residents who live within 30 high-priority zip codes identified by the City of Houston.

Travis recently opened up about how his daughter Stormi inspires his music.
