Priyanka Chopra Announces She's Opening a Restaurant

Priyanka Chopra is taking on a new project!

The 38-year-old The White Tiger star revealed the news in an Instagram post on Saturday (March 6).

“I’m thrilled to present to you SONA, a new restaurant in NYC that I poured my love for Indian food into,” Priyanka captioned a photo of the location.

She continued, “SONA is the very embodiment of timeless India and the flavours I grew up with. The kitchen is helmed by the incredible Chef @harinayak, a masterful talent, who has created the most delicious and innovative menu, taking you on a food journey through my amazing country.”

Priyanka also thanked her collaborators, longtime friend Maneesh Goyal and David Rabin, the restauranteur behind Lambs Club, and announced that the restaurant would open later this month.

Along with the photo of the restaurant’s exterior, Priyanka shared pictures of a small ceremony she and her partners held in order to bless the space, including one of her and her husband Nick Jonas at the restaurant.

Maneesh thanked Priyanka in an Instagram post of his own, writing, “First, my kind friend @priyankachopra, who has been the creative force behind SONA. There is no one who better—and more boldly—personifies ‘global Indian’ than Pri. SONA is so lucky to have her in our corner.”
