Meghan Markle's Half-Sister Samantha Responds to Comments Made About Her in Oprah Interview

Meghan Markle made comments about her half-sister Samantha in her interview with Oprah Winfrey and now she is responding.

Oprah asked about the “tell-all” book that Samantha is writing about her relationship with Meghan and the Duchess of Sussex shut down the idea that there would be any substance in the book.

“I think it would be hard to ‘tell all’ when you don’t know me,” Meghan said. “I grew up as an only child… The last time I saw her must have been at least 18, 19 years ago, and before then, 10 years before that.”

Meghan also claims that Samantha changed her last name back to Markle “only when I started dating Harry. So I think that says enough.”

Samantha spoke to Inside Edition on Monday (March 8) after the new interview clip was released on CBS This Morning.

“I don’t know how she can say I don’t know her and she was an only child. We’ve got photographs over a lifespan of us together. So how can she not know me?” she said.

Samantha showed photos of her and Meghan throughout the years, including one she says was taken 13 years ago at her college graduation in 2008. She also says that she changed her name back to Markle many years ago and that her college diploma has the name.

“I was a Markle before she was,” she said. “I though that was kind of weird that she would say I only changed my name back when she met Harry. Markle has always been my name.”
