'Peter Pan' & Other Disney Titles Are Trending Over a Disney+ Decision Made Months Ago

Months ago in October of 2020, Disney+ made the decision to label content advisories on some of their classic films, and restrict some content on children’s profiles with the parental controls switched on.

The advisory reads as follows: “This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove the content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together.”

Profiles with the parental advisory switched on cannot view the following titles: Dumbo, Peter Pan, The Aristocats, Swiss Family Robinson, Lady and the Tramp and The Jungle Book. Adult accounts can easily find these titles, but the content warning will still pop up ahead of time due to negative depictions.

If you missed it, Disney+ just hit a major milestone!
