Zac Efron/'Guardians of the Galaxy 3' Report Debunked By Director James Gunn

James Gunn had to debunk a rumor circulating online that he’s currently casting a “Zac Efron type” for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The report suggested a search was underway to find an actor to play Marvel character Adam Warlock. The report said they were looking for a “thirty year-old Caucasian man, who is described as both a ‘super hero type’ and a ‘Zac Efron type,’ as Adam Warlock.”
James tweeted a response to the false reporting, writing, “There is no casting underway for Vol. 3. And in what world would I only cast a ‘Caucasian’ if the character has gold skin? And if I wanted a Zac Efron type wouldn’t I go to Zac Efron? Where do you get this nonsense?”
