Billy Crudup Drops Out of 'The Flash' Movie, Plus Casting Revealed for Barry Allen's Mom

There is some big casting news for the upcoming The Flash movie!

THR is reporting that Billy Crudup has dropped out of the DC Comics movie, in which he was going to play the role of Barry Allen’s father.

The reason for the departure is scheduling conflicts with the second season of the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show. He won an Emmy Award last year for his work in the first season.

Ezra Miller is reprising his role as Barry Allen for the upcoming movie and a star-studded cast has already been set with both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton reprising their roles as multiverse versions of Batman. Kiersey Clemons will be playing Barry’s love interest Iris West and Sasha Calle will be introduced as Supergirl.

The role of Barry Allen’s mother was just cast.
