Gayle King Reveals Answer to Big Question About Prince Harry/Meghan Markle/Prince Philip

Gayle King has revealed even more information about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

If you don’t know, Gayle is BFFs with Oprah Winfrey, who conducted the tell-all interview that was watched by millions of people and dropped some major bombshells about their time in the royal family.

Gayle is also friends with the Duchess of Sussex.

On her SiriusXM show, Gayle King in the House, Gayle actually revealed the answer to a question that arose in the days leading up to the interview. Would CBS still air the interview if Prince Philip‘s condition worsened in the days leading up to the airing?

If you don’t know, Prince Philip was hospitalized in London, England in mid-February, after the interview was filmed. He ended up spending 28 days in the hospital after finally being released and underwent a heart procedure while there.

“Well, just so you know, they had done that interview before Prince Phillip went into the hospital,” Gayle said on Wednesday (March 17) to her listeners. “If something, God forbid, had happened to him, the interview would not have run at this particular time. But the interview was done and was scheduled before he went into the hospital. But a lot of people have raised that point.”

Gayle didn’t stop there when talking about the couple.

“I think that Harry and Meghan both have been through so much for the past three years and they really have tried to work it out privately. They really have tried to get help, and nothing was working,” she added. “So I think they wanted people to have some understanding about why they made the decision that they made and what they’ve been going through, and I do think that they accomplished that. I do. I think it was very brave of her and Harry to reveal what they did. It’s unheard of, and it certainly has been a ‘bombshell’, is the word.”

“‘There were six or seven that night,” she continued. “I stopped counting at six. It was bombshell after bombshell after bombshell, but I do believe it was an honest conversation. I’m hoping it will lead to change.”
