LeBron James Out Indefinitely for L.A. Lakers After Suffering Ankle Sprain

LeBron James is out indefinitely from playing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The NBA team announced on Saturday (March 20) that the 36-year-old pro basketball player will be taking time off to recover after suffering an ankle sprain, ESPN reports.

During the Lakers game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday afternoon, Hawks player Solomon Hill collided into LeBron‘s right leg. LeBron immediately shouted out in pain and rolled off the court.

However, he didn’t leave the game right away. He played for a few more minutes, hit a three-point shot, then checked out and headed back to the locker room. The Lakers ended up losing the game 99 to 94.

LeBron then reportedly received X-rays and an MRI on the ankle after the game, which concluded that he had a high-ankle sprain.

After news of his injury were reported, LeBron took to Twitter to address the situation.

“Nothing angers and saddens me more than not being available to and for my teammates! I’m hurt inside and out right now 🤦🏾‍♂️” LeBron tweeted. “The road back from recovery begins now. Back soon like I never left.”

He hope LeBron James has a speedy recovery!
