Addison Rae Reveals the Advice Kourtney Kardashian Gave Her

Addison Rae is opening up about fame.

The 20-year-old TikTok superstar, dancer and singer sat down for an interview on Audacy Check In on Tuesday (April 2).

During the interview, Addison opened up about the surprise release of “Obsessed,” as well as her stage presence on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“I’ve been dancing and performing my entire life. That’s where my safe space is,” she explained, while adding who has inspired her along the way.

“J. Lo has amazing stage presence. Beyonce. Britney. There’s so many that captivate people with the performance, and I think that’s the best part,” she said.

She also talked about a follow-up single: “It will be out sooner than people think, and then afterward I’m already now starting to work on a project,” she said.

“I don’t have any dates for you yet…we’re kind of letting it work itself out. I want it to happen organically and I don’t want to rush it and I want to feel like it’s perfect before I put it out. Perfect for me.”

“I’m a very big concept girl. I come up with concepts; I bring concepts into the studio all the time. I brought in ‘Obsessed’ and I brought in a lot of the tracks that we have that will hopefully be on the project too. That’s kind of my strong suit, concepts, and hooks.”

She also spoke about what keeps her in a good place as a creator online: “I do therapy, I love therapy, I think that’s great…I think working out is always really good for me to clear my mind, I always try to do that, and then just spending time with people who are good for the soul. I think you can tell if someone is a good energy to be around.”

Addison also discussed her friendship with Kourtney Kardashian.

“She’s always been here for me. She’s such an amazing person and friend. She always checks up on me, and says ‘make sure you’re keeping yourself first and doing what you want to do and not letting someone hurt you, and really focusing on yourself. This is your time and this is your time to make sure you’re happy and living your life.’”
