There's a Coronavirus Outbreak On The Vancouver Canucks Hockey Team

A coronavirus outbreak is sweeping over most of the Vancouver Canucks hockey team.

According to reports, there have been at least 19 players and three coaches who have tested positive for the virus, and many of them were positive for the contagious P.1 COVID-19 variant.

In addition to the players and coaches, their family members have also started to test positive as well.

ESPN reports that many are experiencing a lot of reactions to the virus and have been getting IV treatments for severe dehydration.

“Fatigue, dehydration, the symptoms are intense,” the agent of a Canucks player told ESPN. “It’s knocked a lot of guys out. Some can’t even get out of bed.”

The wife of forward Adam Gaudette, Michaela, shared an update about their experience with the virus.

She shared that Adam “isn’t in great shape but I’m taking good care of him!”

After the first three positive cases were identified late last week, the teams’ upcoming games were postponed and expected them to take place next week. However, the virus spread.

Now, more players have been added to the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol list which is a way to identify athletes who are were exposed. Those on the list are not allowed to practice or play.

It was just reported this morning that there was another outbreak on a TV set. See what happened here…
