JoJo Siwa Speaks Out About Her Sexuality & What Label She Might Give Herself
JoJo Siwa came out earlier this year and revealed her girlfriend, Kylie Prew, on social media, and now, she’s speaking out about her sexuality.
In a new interview, JoJo spoke out about coming out, how she identifies, how long she’s known about her sexuality, and more.

“I still don’t know what I am,” the 17-year-old star told People at first when asked how she identifies. “It’s like, I want to figure it out. And I have this joke. Her name is Kylie. And so I say that I’m Ky-sexual. But like, I don’t know, bisexual, pansexual, queer, lesbian, gay, straight. I always just say gay because it just kind of covers it or queer because I think the keyword is cool.”
“I like queer,” she added, before revealing what she identifies as today. “Technically I would say that I am pansexual because that’s how I have always been my whole life is just like, my human is my human.”
“I never wanted [my coming out] to be a big deal,” JoJo said. “I’ve known since I was little.” JoJo‘s mom, Jessalynn, who appeared on Dance Moms with her, added, “I did too.A mother knows.”
JoJo added that she met her girlfriend on a cruise ship. “I told her my whole spiel that I tell everyone when they ask me my life story. She goes, ‘I could have Googled that. I want to know your life story. You just told me about your career. I want to know about you.’ And I was like, ‘No one’s ever asked me that before.’”
