Usher's Fake Money Controversy Explained, Strip Club Owner Reveals What Happened

Rumors have been spreading on social media that Usher was caught giving out fake money as tips at a Las Vegas strip club, but now the truth has been revealed.

Photos were shared showing fake money with Usher‘s face on it in denominations of $1, $20, and $100. The money was reportedly found on the floor of the strip club.

A rep for the strip club spoke to Page Six and revealed what actually happened.

“He and his crew converted thousands of real dollars to tip the girls dancing on the stage [and] left a generous tip for the staff!” the rep said.

Turns out, the fake money was actually promotional material for Usher‘s Vegas residency and was never intended to appear as real money with trade-in value.

“Apparently someone in his team left some Usher dollars on the floor to promote his Vegas residency,” the rep added. “That is where it seems the confusion came in. But real actual cash was used for tips. We would love to host him again.”

Last year, Usher welcomed a new addition to his family!
