Singer Angel Olsen Comes Out as Gay, Introduces Fans to Her Partner

Singer-songwriter Angel Olsen has announced that she is gay.

The 34-year-old musical artist took to social media on Friday (April 16) to share a photo of her partner and to confirm her sexuality.

“My beau, I’m gay,” Angel captioned the post, which featured photos of her partner Adele Thibodeaux, who is a writer who has worked on the HBO series High Maintenance.

Back in 2019, Angel was featured in a profile for New York Times Magazine and the article noted how she had many fans who would “express the hope that Olsen is gay or at least bisexual” based on her songs. In that same article, she said she was straight “for now, until further notice.”
