Summer Walker Shares Misinformation About Coronavirus Vaccine & Twitter Reacts

Summer Walker is facing backlash for sharing misinformation.

The 25-year-old “Girls Need Love” singer-songwriter shared a post on her alternate Instagram account @galactawhore on Saturday (April 17), controversially suggesting that people “stay the f–k away” from people receiving coronavirus vaccines because “people are reporting bleeding, bruising, spontaneous periods and miscarriage from being in a close proximatey [sp] to a recently vaccinated person.”

“We’re all f–ked lol” she captioned the misleading post, which came with a misinformation alert tag from Instagram that reads: “COVID-19 vaccines go through many tests for safety and effectiveness and then are monitored closely. (Source: World Health Organization).”

She then shared a message she “liked,” reading: “We were f–ked anyways. Everything is controlled. Our food water and etc. Stuff could be added to those sources. There are ways to add things into the air that are scentless. We were never safe.”

Many people on social media began reacting to the unfounded claims and the fact that Summer Walker was reposting the misinformation.

“summer walker may be an amazing singer but that brain is made up of rocks,” one person wrote.

“summer walker just needs to stop talking at this point,” added another.

She is not the only celebrity who is averse to getting the coronavirus vaccine.
