'Bachelorette' Star Tayshia Adams Reacts to Ex Colton Underwood Coming Out as Gay

Tayshia Adams is opening up about her ex Colton Underwood coming out as gay.

If you didn’t know, Tayshia, 30, appeared on season 23 of The Bachelor when Colton, 29, was leading the show. She ended up coming in second place, losing out to Cassie Randolph, who Colton dated for almost two years.

In a new interview on Garcelle Beauvais‘ podcast Going to Bed with Garcelle, Tayshia chatted about Colton‘s coming out, admitting that she was kind of shocked by the news.

“You know, I remember, it’s so funny because the other day I was at my house and I actually have found journals of like me going through [The Bachelor] process and like me trying to figure out how it would look and really just like working through that relationship,” Tayshia said.

“So it’s kind of ironic that I just found that, but yeah, I didn’t suspect,” she added.

Colton publicly announced that he was gay just last week after years of speculation and rumors.

Also during the interview, Tayshia talked about Colton‘s “virgin factor”, saying it was never a problem for her.

“To be honest with you, it was like the Virgin factor never really triggered me either because I mean, I waited till I was married,” Tayshia explained. “So I guess I found that really endearing, um, you know, maybe about his religion and whatnot.”

“I mean, he made it known that it wasn’t because of his religion that he didn’t have sex, but he like really kept that sacred,” Tayshia added. “So I kinda just like brushed it off after that. Like, it’s not that big of a deal to me.”

Tayshia recently addressed speculation that she and fiance Zac Clark had split up.
